Ghee which is stored for more than a hundred years is called Maha Purana (exceedingly old) Ghrita.
MAHA PURANA GHRITA SATTVA – We source our Maha Purana Ghrita from a Vaidya family in Kerela, who have expert knowledge of Charak Samhita and Ayurveda. This wisdom and product is passed down for generations through their family ancestors.
HOW IS PURANA GHRITA AGE DETERMINED
We procure our EGA Ayurveda aged-ghee from Ashta Vaidya generation of specialised physicians (eighth generation of Ayurveds). Over generations they keep the ghee, made by traditional vedic bilona method, buried under land in optimal conditions of soil and temperature. As per traditional wisdom, the chronology of the ghee is determined by planting trees over the same spot where the ghee is buried on various religious occasions through the year as markers of age. The age of the ghee when taken out from the soil is thus easily determined by the age of the surrounding planted trees.
THE FAR REACHING BENEFITS OF MAHA PURANA GHRITA
There is no disease which cannot be cured by the ghee which is one hundred years old.
Even the look, touch and smell of this 100 years old ghee is especially useful in curing Apasmara (epilepsy), Graha (demoniac seizures) and Unmada(insanity). The ghee stored in air tight containers for 100 plus years is called Maha Purana Ghrita. Purana means old, and Ghrita means ghee. As per Ayurveda, the old ghee has very unique benefits in neurological and psychological disorders.
